Bought this HK USP .45 at a pawn shop for a steal. Paid 400 cash for it. I'm a 1911 man but now after putting about 100 rounds through it I want another one.

I'm the artist formerly known as HK_Fiend, for anyone that remembers the first year or 2 of TGT. ;) I still love HK's, just don't have any at the moment unfortunately. I think the next I buy will either be a P30 9mm or HK45.

Love my P30 in 9mm, have a P2000 in 9mm in the safe that I need to get rid of eventually. I am also thinking of selling my Glock 23 and picking up another P30 in .40.

I'm a big fan of HK.

I consider the HK45 to be the finest non-1911 .45 handgun in the world.
I like my H&K's but I did at one point own a HK45 and sold it because the trigger was utter junk. It was a very gritty trigger and I never did like it. My P30 was as smooth as my P2000 out of the box and my P2000 had 2000 rounds through it.

Got a new barrel for the USP while I am waiting on my .45 Osprey to arrive. Now if H&K just had threaded barrels for the 45C in stock.

I picked up my first one recently, a USP Compact in 9mm. I installed Meprolight night sights and bought two 13 round mags, it came with two ten rounders. It's built like a tank and I like the fact it can be carried cocked and locked. That's the only reason I got it because the double action is one of the worst I've ever seen. Has anyone here done anything to lighten up the double action on their USP?

H&K equals superb quality and at the same time high arrogance.

When my H&K magazine failed, they said I had abused it.

When I told them it failed upon dis-assembly for cleaning, they dang near fainted.

Had to send the Mag to their Columbus, Georgia plant (hint, right next to Fort Benning, Georgia) for evaluation.

I got the mag back with the broken base plate replaced.

They made good on the warranty, but it sure felt like getting slapped upside the head to get their attention.

    Be well.

I don't know if a sample of one makes me a fanboy, but I do like it! My 17 year old daughter prefers the HK over my 1911 or M&P9, so that says alot about it's shootability.
