There goes the price of milk and everything made from it.

I wonder if grettas environazis are gleefully dancing right now. Less cow farts polluting the atmosphere.

You ain't gonna get 18000 cows in one barn.
That "barn "would have to cover a couple hundred acres if you packed them in like sardines.

    I suspect some erroneous reporting.

As big as that fire looked, I'm not sure what kind of area could've been affected. Could be multiple barns and feedlots for all I know. Multiple stories are reporting 18-20 thousand cattle...but they're likely to all be pulling from the same source.

Maybe they were double stacked. You know, kinda like a mag.

All kidding aside. I'm wondering how this will affect the cost and availability of milk.
With the explosion and fire, some of the cows might have been in the pasture and
    got hit with debris.

    I grew up on farming/ranching .
We ran an average of 50 momma cows any given year.
When it was time for working the herd, they got crammed into a 50' by 100' corral.
    It was tight quarters.

I believe an explosion and fire happened at a dairy near Dimmit.
    I don't believe 18000 cows perished.
Not one barn. Someone added a zero. Or two.
