I know I'm the minority for this, but we need a revolution. This Country along with others are corrupt as hell. We need to stop letting Corporations rule this country with their $$$. I'm going to leave it at that so this thread doesn't get locked for Politics.

    Ditto

    Double ditto

I love the thought of all government being gone and us living in harmony with our neighbors making our own decisions. I am a Hippie after all. The problem is that there's always gonna be some douches that ruin it for everyone, who need to be shot.

As much as I don't like it, you do need some liquidity that money provides and you need some government. That was actually painful to type. Sigh.

    Also......36,000 views? Weak.

The concept is getting some airtime on the lunatic fringe. Not just with this link but others as well.
Still, I agree with others here that you're not going to see much, if anything at all, happen on this.
It looks like the idea is to capitalize on the Wall Street protests.
(Oh yeah! Hey ya'll; You did know that there are protests going on in New York somewhere near Wall Street right? Even though the cops won't actually let the protesters on Wall Street itself and if they move around too much they tend to get arrested at the nearest narrow corridor such as- oh, I don't know - like say a bridge or something...)
Anyway - The Wall Street protest appears to be dead or at least dying already. Happened right after their way kooky list of demands came out - go figure...
My thought is that this World Wide protest probably has more legs in countries where mass protests occurring daily seem to be the norm, and no one there will really notice. But I expect our msm to cover them real special like on the 15th and credit the World Wide movement anyway. Of course the great thing about our msm is their extreme ADD, so by Sunday morning all you'll hear is crickets on the topic.

With the death of the Wall Street protests and their relative ineffectiveness in this country, the World Wide protest will never get off the ground here except for on the left coast and the extreme north east. Even then I'd expect those marches to wrap up by noon so everyone can get back to enjoying their weekends.
More specifically, in Texas, I think the fear of snipers wanting to range their weapons for hunting season will keep the protestors off the streets...

What revolution in New York City?

Where are the broomsticks, pitchforks, and muskets?

In a disarmed city, there can be no revolution when the revolutionaries are disarmed.

On the other hand, if you trespass on my property for whatever reason, I will pepper you with bird-shot, and if you persist ...

    Be well.

Seemed more like a bowel movement to me.

    I don't think there was a message.

The Greek Austerity cuts riots? Without those cuts, Greece does not get another installment of their bailout money from the EU. I guess the socialist asswipes that made the video don't realize that Greece, along with Portugal, Italy, Ireland and a few other countries are just about in the shitter because of their overspending (sound familiar?) on social(ist) programs. With a majority on the dole and a minority working, there isn't enough of "other peoples' money" to pay for all the slackers.

When did Franklin ever say that?

These "evil corporations" aren't any reason for starting a fighting war. Read the Declaration of Independence if you want the real reasons why our forefathers fought. It'll also outline just reasons. Yeah those snooty bastards get rich by playing the markets. Yeah people are mad that brokers drive around in fancy cars and wear expensive Italian clothing while their buying power is becoming less and less.

I have also read the Communist Manifesto and bringing war to private business entities is more in line with that ethos rather than the American Revolution.

Sticking it to the "man"--those snooty wallstreet bastards--does nothing beneficial to anyone. It's just a way for marxists and their criminal wing (anarchists) to feel like they are doing something "for the cause", get some street cred by getting arrested, impress some girls, etc.

Hmm, link is blocked at work. I think that's the case for most folks at work. Guess I can't participate. I doubt anyone that actually works for a living would want to participate anyways, lol...

Curbing special interest groups and lobbyists is a concern and while many corporations do participate in such politics, I don't think it's fair to blame "corporations" in general. I'm with you on the revolution, but remember revolutions don't necessarily need to be violent. Also, violent revolutions rarely end the way they were intended.

I thought it was an anarchist movement.
In modern terms, anarchist = marxist who likes to blow shit up. Probably the closest thing you'll see to a real anarchist on TV is a hard core libertarian.
