I'm picking up an AR pistol soon. I hog hunt about 10 minutes from my house. I had planned on just throwing the gun in the front seat when I head out. But, since it is considered a pistol it has to be concealed, correct? If it were a SBR, it would be fine even though the pistol and SBR would basically be the same. Texas law references long guns and handguns, does anyone know the definition of these based upon Texas law?

I guess I'll just toss it in the back and throw a towel over it until I reach my destination for now.
