AR Uppers

Whats the deal with people selling AR uppers but not including the BGC or charging handle? Whats the point of having an upper that wont fire.

When I bought some former military a2 uppers they didnt have the bolt, charging handle and FA.

With the big company's it was about letting the buyer chose to upgrade to a higher quality BCG. But here lately they are just hard to come by and getting pricey. People are choosing to hold on to them for their next project.

I'm talking about people selling "NIB" uppers but saying they wont include the BCG or charging handle.

Well then I would think it like a used car salesman telling you, you can a car from him but the tires are extra. lol. But really I would think that their holding them to sell separate at a higher rate. There're a lot of sleazy people out there selling guns right now.

It's easier to find uppers than BCG right now

People are making a lot more money selling their BCGs separate from the uppers than they are selling them together.

Many of the uppers you buy from the manufacturers are sold without bcg or charging handles. Over the years I have bought several that way. If you only have one lower and you swap the bcg from upper to upper, there is no need for more than one in some people's eyes. I like to have a backup though. The reason I have it is because I upgraded to a phase5 and kept the old one..

The Psa upper for sale in classified he just bought for $500 and is trying to flip it and since it didn't come with BCG he doesn't have an extra to sell either. I bought two BCM uppers the other week and since I have an extra 4 bcgs I'm gtg
