Hey all, a few questions about Austin Rifle Club does anyone know if they allow NFA items (SBR's & Silencers) and if you are a member, are you allowed to bring a guest?

    Thanks

    Suppressor - yes
    SBR- I'm 99% sure yes
    Select Fire - no
Cannons - no ( really, its in the rules. I guess someone tried it once )
Full members can bring guests, with some limits.
If you have any other questions please let me know.

Yes, Suppressors and SBRs are OK. Any full auto, select fire, or anything that simulates full auto such as a slide fire are not allowed. New members are on probation for the first 6 months. At one time those on probation could not bring guests, but not sure about that now. As a full member, yes, you can bring guests, but there are limits as to how many times, I think the number is two, times that you can bring a guest that lives in the area. After that, the guest should join on there own. There may also be a limit on how many guests at any one time. The guest is required to sign in, wear a wrist band and sign a liability waiver. I know this sounds restrictive, but ARC is an unsupervised range, no ROs, you are on your own, so, safety first. Especially on the rifle ranges, would not take much elevation to put a round where it should not be and result in a closure.
