    Hey Everybody,

Does anyone have any experience with the members-only range "Arlington Sportsman's Club" in Mansfield (haha, nice location name)?

I won't go to Alpine because of their 1-shot every 2-seconds rule

Winchester Gallery won't let people draw from concealment, and I need a new range which supports real-world practice.

Any and all comments are appreciated and encouraged.

    Thanks

I live 6 miles from the Arlington Sportsman's Club.

I've never joined because of their admittance requirements of having to go to a meeting
and introduce yourself and then have them vote on your membership.

I don't want to be part of a social club, I just want a place to shoot.

I'd rather drive 8 miles to Alpine range.

A friend of mine is a member. He was a shotgun shooter back when the club was located in, yes you guessed it, Arlington. I don't know the requirements, costs, and how long the wait list is anymore but it is a nice facility. It doesn't appeal to me much because I'm mainly a USPSA shooter and the pistol bays are stand and shoot only. I can't tell you much about the weekend crowds but when I've been, there weren't many out there. It would definitely be worth looking in to and it would be something I would consider if I lived closer. I almost refuse to set foot on a public range. I've been to Alpine once. That's enough.
