    And what of all those out there that bought particular guns that have appreciated in value over the years? Should they now have to sell at $1 less then what they paid for it 20 or 30 years ago? :eek:
    Yeah, we are gonna need an app that translates original payments into "Biden dollars", which are practically worthless. I doubt that you have many that have appreciated substantially once you correct for this horrendous inflation.

    This will be great for the "I know what I've got" sellers that overpaid for their piecemeal AR parts and think the sales price is worth it.

    As a side note.............

    Just back back from our old range/shop. New owners are using electronic records, cloud based and electronic 4473's. Left after two hours without the pistols because of a software issue on the electronic records service side. Owners were on line with them the whole time trying to get the issue worked out.

    Maybe tomorrow....

    I never regretted using paper records.............

    Read more at Bearing Arms blog.

    The U.S. Justice Department rolled out a new policy last month requiring background checks for people who informally sell firearms at gun shows or on the internet. The rule, which is set to take effect on May 20, is based on a revised definition of gun dealers put forth in Cornyn’s so-called Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.

    Cornyn has vowed to file a congressional resolution of disapproval over the policy, and he said the Biden administration’s efforts to tie it to the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act is “an outright lie.”
    “This rule has long been on Democrats’ wish list, and for the Biden administration to say it’s a result of our school safety and mental health law is a shameless attempt to hide their real goal: to take away the firearms of every law-abiding American,” Cornyn said in a joint statement with North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis. “We will fight this unconstitutional rule tooth and nail, and look forward to overturning it in the Senate as soon as possible.”

    I'm sorry, but Cornyn doesn't get to play savior here.

    Read this and tell me fundamentally what you disagree with (highlights mine)...

    The Bipartisan Safer Communities Act
    Mike, you know well enough to read the law, not the presser. The verbiage in Section 12002 of BPSCA was adopted verbatim by BATFE.
    SEC. 12002. DEFINING ``ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS''.

    Section 921(a) of title 18, United States Code, is amended--
    (1) in paragraph (21)(C), by striking ``with the principal
    objective of livelihood and profit'' and inserting ``to
    predominantly earn a profit'';

    (2) by redesignating paragraphs (22) through (29) as
    paragraphs (23) through (30), respectively; and
    (3) by inserting after paragraph (21) the following:

    ``(22) The term `to predominantly earn a profit' means that the
    intent underlying the sale or disposition of firearms is predominantly
    one of obtaining pecuniary gain, as opposed to other intents, such as
    improving or liquidating a personal firearms collection: Provided, That
    proof of profit shall not be required as to a person who engages in the
    regular and repetitive purchase and disposition of firearms for criminal
    purposes or terrorism. For purposes of this paragraph, the term
    `terrorism' means activity, directed against United States persons,
    which--
    ``(A) is committed by an individual who is not a national or
    permanent resident alien of the United States;
    ``(B) involves violent acts or acts dangerous to human life
    which would be a criminal violation if committed within the
    jurisdiction of the United States; and
    ``(C) is intended--
    ``(i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population;
    ``(ii) to influence the policy of a government by
    intimidation or coercion; or
    ``(iii) to affect the conduct of a government by
    assassination or kidnapping
    That language was in the bill when it introduced in the. Cornyn knew the USC would be changed and, by extension the CFR would be changed.

    Cornyn can choke on a dick.

    I imagine if this injunction does not get passed we'll need everyone to take down their sale listings, unless you want the ATF all over this place.
    What a silly assumption...silly to assume they haven't been slowly embedding themselves in discussion forums of all types for the past couple decades. Almost every single electronic communication on earth is and has been monitored and logged "for our safety". The BATFE can suck a fart right out of my ass.

    My point is unless you all want to go to prison for RICO you'll have them taken down. I sure as shit don't want to go to prison.
