It was good to take a little time out and shoot.... Nice to meet a few of the guys here on the forum too. I thought there would be more interest in the Browning.... I came home with two belts of ammo.... I took a better look at the target situation... 1x4 frames about 6' tall and 2' wide. The 2x2 frames I used were a little to thick to fit the holders. And there were almost no holders out at 100 yds. We set some up against a old steel frame but had to tie them up with wire because of the wind. Next time maybe a couple stand alone frames with feet and a few sand bags to keep them there. All in all I had a good time. I enede up joining for the year, so I'll need some of ya'll to say you are giong so I'll have an excuse to use my membership! MG
Well, crap, I too would have been glad to lend a hand there. I figured I would respect you and your weapons and not be a leech begging for a chance to pull the trigger and spit out a couple bucks. Who was to know that the owner was a decent human being who was willing to share. People like you are hard to find ya know! At least I got to shoot Markas' M1 and Nolan's Mosin.. That was a blast!
I missed out as well. Slept in Sun till about 0930 and my sister came over wanting me to take a look at her car's brakes. Of course nothing was wrong!!!!. I'll just have to make the drive to Houston!!!!
