What happens when they have another route, to where blood collection is a huge violation of being human itself. This is your dumb ass fellow human. I get he's drunk. It's proven to be horrible. But blood draw?

Refuse the test, you're licence go's bye bye anyway, it's gonna cost big time to get it back, your car towed, inventoried(rooter rooted search), and if you're actually drunk, you're going to jail over the first violation of a dozen laws the officer can use . You can be arrested running a stop sign. Texas Traffic code.

Do you really believe extracting body fluid from people is civilised??? Inserting a syringe in their vein under protest would more ensure drunks get arrested?

    You're joking right?

TI, you know the law. You know there's no way drunks walk. You can find a half dozen other penel codes that apply. Enough to hurt guy. Judges know what certain crimes, while not a DWI, send the message he was.

    Why the blood?

A judge issues a search warrant if the evidence supports it.

    Suits me.

Me too. Don't drink and drive....

Then why not promote shoot on sight? Right through the windshield. 40cal ballistics test. He's done, gone, and stopped. Drunk driving effects lives in the most horrible ways. It's gut wrenching.

So let's shoot them dead. They deserve it right? Better yet, save the bullets and strap them on a table and stab them using strangers.

That dumb ass is YOUR fellow human. Being civilized is holding at least a level of nobility and forgiveness. A simple respect for the human condition. Broadcast the anger to something else.

You agreed to give a specimen when you obtained a license to drive on the same roads as my family. It is my opinion that if you don't like that, don't drive drunk.

    Seen plenty of drunks walk.

Another dumb argument. No one is PUNISHING the drunk by drawing blood. The penalty for DWI is not death.

    Why the blood?

I've got a nephew. Had 3 DWI's before he was 18. Never had a lawyer. Just went before the judge by himself each time and said he was sorry. Never had a suspended license. All of it disappeared when he turned 18. He's had one since then and only got probation. Not even one of those interlocking device tubes you have to blow in.

Not that I agree with mandatory blood draws, but the system is screwed up.

I'm not tracking how that remotely makes it right. If you want a license, you gotta sign. Like there's any debate at DPS. You either sign or no DL.

So we are now going from drawing blood because they DIDN'T want to take a breathalyzer test in which they agreed to by accepting a drivers license.... to Shooting them? Nice analogy you NUT!!:roflfunny:

    Then a simple question.

What's the next step after a mandatory blood draw? What could they possibly come with, to what is basically, over application of known written law?

You're allowing civil servants, most likely, far less educated then yourself. Dictate at a road block who gets stabbed?

    Huh?

Is it the pretty uniform that gets you? Dude, it's polyester.

    Dallas Texas or so
If you drive drunk, you deserve the strictest punishment the law can give. You have no right to drive and the state can take your license. 2nd conviction should be lifetime ban on license and minimum 5 years in prison.

    Just my opinion.

You guys still feel like getting together for a few beers after work? How about you cancel that, close those establishments and stay home.
