Hey guys I could be moving to Dallas for 18 months for work and would like to know if I can own/buy or use a firearm while living there I am a current licensed firearm holder here in Australia

Welcome. I thought that in Australia they took all of your guns and that you couldn't have them anymore? Does having a license mean that you can have just a shotgun or less? Do they keep a list of guns that you cannot have? I couldn't live in a place that stripped my freedoms.

You can buy with a temporary visa, you can even get a chl.

I think you need to be resident for three month's, then get a hunting license & you're good to go
