Tractor supply may have what you want. Last I bought from them was Exide brand. I sold them many years ago when I was in the wholesale distribution industry. You can also avoid checking for freshness or worrying about it if you get one you have to put the battery acid in yourself. They do that for smaller batteries for motorcycles, ATVs, sxs's, etc. I've done it once and thought it was a pretty neat way of avoiding getting an old battery.You can assure yourself of getting the freshest on the shelf by reading the date code on the battery:
If you are referring to Optima. They were goof batteries at one point. Moved production to Mexico and quality took a dip. I haven't owned one in a while . Maybe they are okay again.Can I still get those gel batteries from Sears or do they still exist?
