I have been looking for a good 1911 Gunsmith in the Austin area.
Things I need dore are polish feed ramp, adjust the frame to slide fit, and install a stake in front sight.
I just don't know why to take it too. I have found from searching Bobby Bueltel at Sportsman's finest, Hank Flemming and Art, McBrides, and Berryhill coustoms.
McBrides Gunsmith has been very helpfull over the phone. $30 to install the front sight.
Hank Flemming didn't seem like he wanted to install the front sight. He said $50 and it probably would fall out so no warranty.
I have not talked to anyone else.
