Been playing around with a new toy.
Sharps 1859 Calvary Carbine.
This one is made by Pedersoli.
.54caliber percussion breach loader. 22" barrel.
Very popular weapon during the War of Northern Aggression.
Ammo can be used three different ways.
1.) Loose bullet and powder.(easiest method). Bullet is dropped down into the chamber and then the chamber is filled with loose powder.
2.) Paper Cartridge - this was what the original used. Simply a paper tube attached(glued or tied) the rear end of the bullet, tube then filled with powder, end of tube folded or twisted to close.
3.) Brass Cartridge tube - modern invention - uses a special modern designed bullet - brass tube closed on one end with a flash hole in it. Tube is loaded with powder, bullet seated onto the case. Very similar to modern ammo.
Accuracy testing has not commenced.
Soon tho.
Real men shoot Wood and Steel.
Tupperware girly-men need not apply. LoL
