Got to thinking how big the knife above would be. Decided to get something smaller. I feel like TexasRedneck and his 1911s. I'm getting the following as well if everything lines up tonight from a maker in the UK. I'll need to modify the hostler to include active retention though.

Blade length: 6 inch ApproxHandle length: 4 1/2 inch Approx Walnut wood handle.
Over 300 layers of 15n25 and 1095 treated to 58 hrc on rockwell scale test

While I will admit I know jack about knives in general other than carrying a kershaw in my pocket everyday, I love that knife for three reasons:
    1) The damascus markings are stunning IMO.
    2) The way the jimping was done is cool compared to the notching I have seen
    3) The handle is plain classic and functional so as not to distract from that beautiful damascus steel.

Ut oh, on closer look though, the way the brass was scalloped on the handle...is that gonna be a dust/dirt collector?

I thought about that. I may end up needing to fill it with some epoxy.

Yeah, I like that knife even better(it's more my style). I agree with Rum Runner, that jimping is extremely unique. I like how that jimping look is repeated in the back of the handle.

What's the legality of carrying a large knife like this? I though you couldn't carry any bigger than 5.5"? Just curious I have a few Bowles I wouldn't mind carrying
