Breakfast joints in San Marcos?

Anyone know a place to get a good breakfast in san marcos area? Seems like nothing but bars and chain restaurants. Looking for a good plate of biscuits and gravy, omelets, etc. No damn breakfast tacos!

What about Cafe on the Square of Root Cellar? Both are in the downtown area.

Take a little drive down to New Braunfels and go to THE STATION, it's just east of the schlitterbahn and the Blanco. Down home bacon, eggs and sausage type place. Try their biscuits & gravy topped with fried eggs and jalapeños! One of few places down there that aren't all BBQ or Mexican food.

That sounds like the place. My girl works at the RBFCU down there, so I have a good excuse to make the drive.

Taqueria La Fonda (best salsa in the whole damn world, and good migas), and Taqueria Mazatlan (hardcore Mexican). Both are on the access road just south of Guadalupe and 35.
