    More carbs thru pharmaceuticals.

I havnt reallydone the low carb thing yet. My numbers are all normal with meds. Besides the stuff I like that's decent on calories like beans rice corn are all high carb foods. I did low carbs per day but that doesn't count so ..

I'm tryin. I think I'm close enough on weight that I wont need meds. 1 more surgery though.

My A1c hit 11 at one point, about 4 years ago.

If I don't stay off carbs, I go on insulin.
Not going to happen if I can help it.

ETA: Have had pre-diabetes for 15+ years.

My A1c without meds was 8.9. With meds it's normal. I'm sure the low carb thing is I'm the future as the meds aren't cheap but I will have to drag the whole family along. With a wife going thru "the change" taking away high carb foods will probably get me killed in the middle of the night.

Mine hit that 11 number, on meds.
Low carb, with meds, dropped it to 6.9.
    Above 5.9 is considered diabetic.
