What's the status of that stretch of hwy?

Last I heard, the truck did not have a permit to negotiate that stretch of road.

It was over sized and should not have been in the normal flow of traffic.

Dispatch, dot and hwy people must issue permits for over size loads. And all route information must be cleared by dot. If the driver deveatied from that, he is liable.

I missed a detour back in 1980. 2"too tall. Trailer squatted thank goodness. Driver behind me said he was blinded by all the sparks.

What's the status of that stretch of hwy?

I drove that stretch of 35 last night, Tue. About 10pm. Highway was completely shut down. They were actively working on repairs. All traffic had to exit and was backed up for a few miles. It was bad but I've definitely seen worse.
