I took it to alex at Dreadnaught, but he had an associate he works with do the duracoat after he blasted all the old paint off. I put the stock on.hehe. im glad it has turned out so well.
i am almost sad i dont have it -- almost.
damn fine work though, who did the work on it?
Not sure I get you??? The old stock is gone. Has a new stock and pistol grip.Do you actually like the furniture or did you just stick with it because it came with it? I like the new finish!
It's like you ran out of time, money, and interest and just said "screw it, I don't need a proper folder or even an ACE block adapter" and slapped on the most horrid stock you could possibly put on an AK.
this is a gun I intend to actually shoot. therefore I put a stock on it that is comfy. AKs with folding stock suck donkey parts. They are horid IMO. that stock is a bit longer and fits my taller frame better than the teeny tiny AK furniture that many offer. Are you sure that's an AK? The front bits sure do look like it, but then it got confused towards the rear and thought it was an M4. That will work too.I was thinking of painting my AK an OD green, was just gonna use camouflage spray paint.
I am gonna just stick a regular AK slant brake on there for now. Havent given much thought to the bayonet lug.I think maddis are excellant AK's for the money. What where you looking to replace the muzzle nut with and are there any plans for restoring the bayonet lug?
