Why would anyone burn steel bullets down the barrel of their .308?

Even with the .50 BMG where all the ball ammo is steel it has a jacket to keep the steel off the rifling?

And are they hand loads or factory loads? If factory, which one?

That your friend is a dipshit and he's having you do his dirty work so he obviously isn't traveling alone!

    sent from wait...where am I!?

There's nothing dirty about it. And if you want to call me names, then you should quit being a pussy about it. Anyone who isn't interested in purchasing this ammo for a great price should quit wasting our time. Thanks.

Still haven't got answers as to the source of the a ammo.

    On the .308

    Hand loads or factory loads?

    If commercial, from who?

    If milsurp, what country?

What type of steel are the bullets made from, what hardness? A steel bullet with no jacket will wreck a bore unless it's really soft.

    Valid questions.

I never called you names, I called your friend a dipshit and because you hang out with him (keep up here) I stated that dipshits don't travel alone. Now, if your only rebuttal is to call me a pussy because your dipshit friend can't sort his own shit out then please don't bother responding.

If you are going to post on this forum for a friend and that friend is then going to be a prick to our members then you should expect to get some flack for it as you're the one that brought it here, "guilt by association" if you will! If the response to legitimate questions about his ammo are "get lost" or "**** off" then I'm not going to even bother contacting him (please feel free to forward this information since you are apparently so invested).

    Tell me, what's the picture?
    You told everyone to ...

But the ammo, or not. Otherwise, get a life.
And then you logged out. Now you're back without so much as answering legitimate questions including ..

    Next question kfc.

There are systems out there that can give a whole new meaning to "blow a phone up". Something on the level of 300 texts per minute. Just sayin.

    kfc903,
can you ask your friend some questions about the steel 308:

    handloads or factory?
if handloads, who loaded them? , powder charge/ estimated velocity? pressure test results, if any?
about the projectile: what hardness (brinell or other scale) of steel? or what type of steel? bullet weight?

If mostly unknown, what was his source for them?

    Mnay thanks,
    C-
