Never heard of Bush's Chicken.
I only eat fried chicken once maybe twice a year.
And then it's Popeyes.
Watermelon spiked with Everclear or Bicardi rum is pretty good. I'll bet even a grape soda with some Everclear would be pretty good too!I'm to busy judging water melon and drankin grape soda
Can’t recall from your other ’new to Texas’ thread but, have you been to Buc-Eee’s yet? Great place for a daily brisket taco and jerky.Honestly, my eating habits have deteriorated since I've been in Texas. I used to eat red meat once every 2-3 weeks, and fried chicken about once every 2-3 months. Now I stop by Rudy's before work for a "Brisket and Egg" taco.
That being said, I finally joined a gym again so hopefully that helps offset the "Texas 15".

you're not wrongWhen it comes to fried chicken chain s don't necessarily mean shit it the employee's & mananagment of the location that means everything. I really hate walking into a place with a chick with neck tats, frito fingernails and an attitude.
The oil in the fryer & how often its changed means everything to any fried foods.
Did the seagulls throw it back at you?WORST chicken I ever had was from Church's in Bay City. We picked the Box up and headed to the beach at Matagorda. It was so bad we fed it to the seagulls.
If that is the place I recall, it has been gone for a while. There was, maybe still a small restaurant in Somerville called Rick's.
Some of the best fried chicken I have ever had, next to homemade.
Covid got to your taste buds, eh?I have yet to eat fried chicken at a chain restaurant that tastes different from any other chain - they all taste the same...including PE's.
