    It's kind of a wait and see thing now. Cabelas might have been pricey, but they usually sold quality stuff on the generic side. Bass Pro tends to take the Walmart, cheaper is better approach.

    I'd suggest you figure out what you're really getting after this merger instead of relying on a name on the package.

    OP, my employer has a similar reward/recognition program and last fall I cashed in my points for $500 in Cabelas gift cards. I purchased a couple Black Friday items but spent the majority of it on 10-22 upgrades (barrel and stock) as these are things I would not have done with "my own money". If that makes sense.

    On a side note: Now that Bass Pro shops bought Cabelas, I wonder if gift cards are interchangeable?
