Yes, as long as the gun show in question allows it.

Basically, all you need to do is not suspect the buyer of being ineligible to own the gun, and that they are a Texas resident. Usually a TX DL or other similar state ID (such as a CHL) suffices, but it is not necessary.

There is no need to go through a FFL for a private sale in Texas.

Yeah, throw up a list and you may find you get them sold prior to paying any table fees at a gun show.

Have loads of guns, can private collectors sell at gunshows and is the procedure simple??

Some people just walk the isles (at gun shows) with their sales guns in had, and maybe a sign saying what they've got for sale etc. Interested people will stop you and ask. If you have a lot to sell... say 20 or more, you might look into renting a table. I think a small table is not that expensive. Then just put some price tags on the guns and wait for buyers. Be prepared to haggle.

As far as the legality, you've already been given good advice. Since there is a lot of attention these days towards illegal transactions at gun shows I personally would be extra cautious in making sure the buyer is legit.

It had better not be anything I want/need, as you're too damn far away!

But also remember that you can rifles within the state of Texas without going through an FFL!

Lots of great info here: Beginner Articles; specifically this thread: http://www.texasguntalk.com/forums/...e-sales-face-face-transfer-other-options.html

    Cheers! M2

Actually, you can sell any firearm to any eligible resident in the state of Texas without going through an FFL.

You can also mail long guns or ship (UPS only) any firearm directly to the recipient in an intrastate transaction.

Whoops, forgot the word 'mail' in that post; thanks for catching that and it's now corrected! Here's more info on that.

It also looks like we were thinking along the same lines...
