Any carrier ac guys here? I’m looking for info on a “soft start” kit, to help lower the compressor start amps on my 5 ton unit, so that I can run on my 13kw generator. any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Thank you for the link. I thought I had searched on here but apparently not. Have watched several videos on YouTube.
I spoke to an AC guy at work and was told Trane units were designed to work with these kits, but other manufacturers could be damaged. Just trying to see if there is potential to damage my brand new carrier.

    You're welcome. :)
We're going to have soft start put on our central A/C, sooner the better imo.
Hey! How is Ms Rose doing? All settled in with the family?
