    Hey yall,

I dont normally carry an extra mag, and when I do I toss it in a pocket. I've been finding myself wanting to carry an extra mag more recently now though, and I'm not sure what the best/most comfortable options are. Any recommendations?

    Thanks!

    mag holder?.................just sayin.......

GTFO with your logic and reasoning.

OP, duct tape it to your scrotum. Safely hidden from plain view, and if you need it, the act of swiftly removing the duct tape will give you an endorphin/adrenaline surge that should impart nothing less than superhuman strength.

Seriously though, First.Post.Nailed.It. Just get a mag holder and be done with it.

I picked up an uncle mike's dual 1911 mag caddy, and it stuck out too much. Took off the belt loop, and replaced it with a Concealment Express belt clip. It's a lot closer to my body now. Works great for me.

Of course you might want an iwb magazine pouch, or a leather pouch with a snap. Comfort will largely depend on how your body is built and where you situate the magazine.

That's kind of a really open question. Like what kind of holster should I get for "X" gun. What kind of environment are you/will you be in? Business attire, or weekend shorts and a beat up t-shirt? Somewhere in between? Do you want IWB, OWB, horizontal, vertical, leather, kydex, or a hybrid? Do you want it part of your holster? Is it on your person, or just handy?

I prefer carrying the extra mag. How I am attired naturally impacts how I carry said extra mag.

I'm currently looking for a good leather IWB hi-ride 1911 mag. carrier so it doesn't show under an 'A2' style coat

I found a leather high ride mag carrier with a belt clip that works well for me.

As I prefer to carry an extra mag in my pocket, i have a Tulster Neomag. A bit on the priceier side, but fir me it gets the job done. I dont have any pics, but here's one from Amazon.

I have an alien gear mag holder I have been using lately. I like it's versatility but it sticks out too far and doesn't seem durable. I usually carry extra mags in desantis pocket holders.
