Yes. However, that doesn't really matter to the DC chattering class and MSM journos. They live on Twitter. So if you want to keep up with their insanity you have no choice but to also live on Twitter. It doesn't matter that it's, in many ways, a gobsmackingly stupid platform. It's the standard.

Personally, I don't care to keep up. I use my Twitter to post a picture of my candy stack on Halloween. For the last several years, that single picture has been the only time I've used Twitter for the entire year. I guess that's why I only have a dozen followers.
