What would happen if it was fired at a mirror or reflective mylar?

How much does each rifle cost? Why does it look like it's ripped off American tech?

Dammit! Just when I thought I could relax, now I have to start stockpiling lithium batteries. :p

If it's clean enough, it will bounce off...(angle in = angle out) if it's dirty, it will heat up... and could burn thru (mylar especially)

I bet in six months they'll have countermeasure clothing. Something along these lines but for crowd control lasers.

For the record, I'm in the "BS propaganda until I see it" camp... it's a battery/energy storage/efficiency issue.

And a MASER would be better (microwave)

I agree. I don't think a bunch of lithium batteries in the stock is going produce anything they claim. I'm not a laser expert. But I'd expect the soldier to have to wear a battery on his back. A huge and very heavy battery. Then I'd suspect it'd be a two to three shot deal before it'd need hours and hours to charge the pack back up. I don't see it as being practical for anything but propaganda.
