    Looks like a well-written article. I cringe, however, at his opening line, "As the ‘right to carry’ spreads across the United States..." I understand what he means, but it's disheartening to realize that much of the nation sees this as something new.

    One point I think he fails to mention is the question to disarm or not to disarm a person with a CHL. I say a gun at rest is a good gun but that's me.

    The article is well written and has a lot of good ideas. The responders, however, need much education. LEO's are our employees and aren't God. Yes, they have a job to do, but don't treat me like an everyday criminal just because I may be carrying a gun. I have several LEO friends and they all support my right to do so, legally. The guy who said no one on his beat was going to carry a gun but him, should be fired immediately. I also realize there is a different attitude here in Southern states, as opposed to up north, toward folks carrying guns. Thank God we live in Texas and have concealed carry laws to our advantage.
