Does it matter where a CHL class is held? I have some land where we currently shoot and my dad, myself and a couple of people I work with have voiced interest in getting our CHL. Can a CHL instructor come to us or does the class have to be at an official gun range? Is there a minimum number of participants?

    Thanks,
    Craig

We used to have to teach at DPS approved ranges, but that is not the case anymore. The class can be taught anywhere in Texas. DPS does not limit the number of participants, but your instructor might. He needs to make it worthshile. For example, I will teach one on one, but the investment for the student is greater than it is per student for a class of 5.
