    Thanks.
The reason I built it was my kids. We used to take them to a house nearby where someone did something similar, we would take the kids there 2 years in a row to have them watch the light show, then one year they moved away.. My kids (who were 6 and 7 at the time), kept talking about how they wished someone would make a Christmas lights display like that house had. Well, I figured it was my fatherly duty to do it.
Need more like you, thanks for sharing.

I'm so frugal I would have taken video of the neighbors light show and had my kid put it on a flash drive and then handed it back. I'm crafty like that.

I built it because I"m frugal. I could have bought one with DMX controllers and songs pre-done for just over $3800.00, but I made everything for less than $300.

My street decorates and we get a lot of traffic. Maybe 10% of the houses had decorated last week, but people were starting to drive through to look. There was a police situation (elderly stuff) and 5 police cars parked at the cul-de-sac but didn't put their lights on. I was slightly involved in the situation and the next thing I know the cops are giving me crap, "Is that your white car?" No, I didn't drive here. I look and there's 10 cars hung up waiting for the police to move. I went and helped them get turned around and talked the cop who tried to give me a hard time into turning on his overheads so the sightseers would avoid getting trapped at the end of the street.
