SOLD CMP Springfield M1 Garand, Cedar Park TX

Includes CMP M1 case, 21 cartridge clips, buttstock cleaning kit

and user manuals. Manufactured 1943. Purchased through the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) over 20 years ago. Rifle is certified as CMP. 11/01/2001. 100 finish and all parts are Springfield 1943 parts. Rifle is totally correct including stock. The stock is stamped: S. A. / E.McF. (Springfield Armory / Earl McFarland). Other stamps used on the stocks are the circled 'P' proof mark (with serifs) on the pistol grip, and the Ordnance Wheel with Crossed Cannons. C&R $1500.

It was a pleasure meeting you. This afternoon I found a very old article on how to stain a M1 stock to as issued from Springfield Armory. It would only be useful if you buy another M1 or bought a new stock.
