Alright I closed the poll and changed the thread title to reflect the date, I will get with V-Tach on the timeframe and update once I know. Below is what I posted to the OP and will make updates as members say they're going.



Come on out and join us at Aransas Firearms in Fulton, TX on Sunday March 8th for another TGT range day get together.


If you've never been to one of these I highly recommend trying to make it, the range meet ups are what truly make this forum stand out and make it personal. Not only do you get to put faces to screen names you might make some new like minded friends and shooting buddies.

Families and guests are welcome to come with and I don't believe there's an age limit for children as long as they can prove to be competent and safe with firearms handling, if you have specific questions ask them here, send me a pm, or give the folks at Aransas Firearms a call for anything range related.

Post up if you will be able to make it (or at least try to make it) and how many extra people you are bringing so we can get a running headcount list going. It's always a great time and the turnouts keep growing.

So...I was thinking......(scary, I know.....)

What if we come up with a little rimfire challenge of some sort. I have some small bullseye 25 yard targets. We could do rifle or pistol, open sights or optics or something?

Smallest 5 shot group wins a brick of .22LR.

Need not be present to win when they are scored, could have Daryl, another volunteer and I do the scoring.

Any ideas or comments?

Sounds like a great idea, might have to break out the calipers if it gets too close. I'll brainstorm some ideas and will probably be in the shop Friday.

Great idea... Will the challenge be open just to members? My son is a good shot with his Henry lever action... it's ok if its just for members....just let us know the details.... rifle or pistol, open sights?

Time is TBD but I'm assuming late morning/early afternoon. Non members are welcome with you (maybe it'll push them to sign up on the forum).
