I understand that happens in neighborhoods just before they are vaporized by a gas explosion.

I'm only half joking since old gas infrastructure is about past its life span.

Is it an older part of DFW

Duncanville, house/most of the neighborhood built in 1973.
    It’s an older/established neighborhood.

Some homes date back to the 60’s but I’m not sure when the infrastructure was put in place.

Wife has me looking at houses in Florida; her cousin lives in St. Petersburg. I smell a divorce in the air!

    Hey Axxe,

I worked down in Homestead, ten years ago.

In December? The HEAT/HUMIDITY is UNBEARABLE (fer this heah DAMMYANKEE!)

At the Power Plant? Its a PROTECTED CROCODILE NESTING AREA! And they "chum" the crocs with a truckload of chicken carcasses everyday! About fifty yards from where we were working! :cowboy:

On my off day, I would go to the Pay Range on the first Key and rent either the 10 shooter K 17 or the Ruger Mk II and burn through a brick of twenty two fun (bricks were 400rds, there...instead of 500)...

The range was A/C! Thank goodness!

I'll stay here in DAMMYANKEELAND....balmy 40 degrees (heat wave in February, heah)

    Later, Mark

Was just in Daytona for a day.

It was in the 30’s leaving DFW, it was 80 when I landed.

    I like Florida.
    I could live there.

...but they can’t drive for shiet. I’ve never experienced dangerous driving conditions in good weather as I have in Florida. Terrible drivers, and a reckless bunch

Had a visitor from Minnesota over the weekend.

it was 0 there when he left.

it was 75 while he was here.

he’s expecting 6” of snow on the day he drives back home.

I'm in the Ouachita mountains of eastern Oklahoma. Above freezing until Thu night but DFW may get sleet/freezing rain and be below freezing starting tonight or Wed morning. It was cooler here than DFW on Mon but will be warmer the remainder of the week.

Update on my crazy gas bill:

They asked me to send pics of my gas meter, then sent two techs the following day to do a physical meter read.

They said there’s no error, the meter was read correctly.

I just got my Feb bill, $250 credit with no explanation.

    Now I’m curious…
I look at my account online, no explanation.

So this morning I called, they said my account shows a “courtesy credit” of $250 with no explanation. The rep had no idea why I was given the credit.

    I guess I’m just a nice guy

That's good, but does your winter gas bill normally hit $250, which is what you still paid?

Mine doubled due to usage amount, but was still only $86.
