It stops ONLY when voters finally realize that those elected officials are NOT looking out for what their constituents want but what The Party wants.

This will be difficult because the

for far too long. There are too many conservative voters NOT going to the polls to vote using the "Why vote? My vote won't make a difference." excuse. When you look at the numbers, how many red states have a lot of blue areas? And where are those blue areas? Major population centers where there are a lot of "poor" who are on welfare or other governmental handout programs. THESE are the people going to the polls, many time enabled to do so by unions and other Damnocrat supportive groups busing them TO the polls. Until conservative voters start getting OFF their asses and GOING to vote, we'll continue to see the Socialist/Marxist trend of the current administration spreading. Those on the government teat want to keep it that way. They don't want someone in office who will derail the gravy train they're riding.

I doubt the numbers of Colorado voters that are watching any of this care or know the difference. These are times to stay mobile so you can move. Getting yourself cemented into a state like Colorado would be a death wish to control and taxes.

You guys have to realize that Colorado is fast becoming a liberal cesspool much like the East and West coast cities (and Austin). These scumbags gather in huge numbers like so many cockroaches or rats.

This will only end in a revolution.

I agree with you, I've said that for years. The problem is, can we ever get it all back? Or is the US of the 1900's gone forever.

Gone forever. All we can hope for now is a place to start over. I don't believe any amount of "fixing" can solve the problems we have allowed to grow in this country.

I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet... Reagan for all his faults turned this country around without any help from congress and no friendly media.

    It can happen again...

But look at what the states are doing to themselves this time. It isn't only about the federal level.

I have the same comment for anything that comes out of Colorado. "Who cares what a bunch of legal potheads have to say." Ski elsewhere next winter and they may take notice. Travel to one of the 40 something other states (with reasonable laws) to vacation this summer. Stay in Texas. Money talks/BS parties in Colorado

The recall petitions should be available to sign at local Walmarts in Colorado within a few weeks.
The challenge will be to get those people who haven't been voting to sign the petitions - and then VOTE.
C(k?)olorado with Denver running the State could become a solid Blue state. Colorado State income tax will soon be "expanding" to fill the void of those who have seen enough, and have G.T.T. (Gone to Texas)

University students can stop off at the "quad" between classes and cast their ballots. Marxist indoctrination centers - pure and simple.Joe Shmoe can request a mail in ballot in Colorado so he doesn't have to stand in line after work until 10 PM- IF HE WILL.

Texans can vote early - and most do.

Colorado may get a taste of what Reconstruction administration was like in Texas 1867-76 . Actually TPC 46.02 is a remnant of Recontruction(Disarmamnet Act of Aril 12, 1871) , and title 5 of the voting rights act is a reincarnation of Reconstruction in Texas . Session time has expired on both of those .

I believe this is a desperate action by the Marxist churls in Denver with the help of Obama to intimidate 36 county Sheriffs in Colorado. It won't work.

First thing a Secret Service agent will ( or should) ask Governor Hickenlooper is....... WHY can't you just depend upon the Colorado Highway Patrol to get those county sheriffs in lock-step with your revolutionist agenda ? Answer: They won't play.

Wise S.S. agent will avoid this with a passion. It's a total farce, and the county Sheriffs are not the least bit intimidated or amused.

Many Coloradoans look to one of them to possibly be a candidate for governor in 2014. Sheriff Terry Maketa - El Paso County ( Colorado springs).

I've spoken with two avid annual Colorado hunter friends and both say they are not going this year. One is going to Canada.
We elk hunt outside of Pagosa Springs and Durango every other year, we wont be going back. Northern NM will be our destination for elk and mule deer from now on and Wyoming for pronghorn. Im not much of a skier(never been) so I cant hurt them that way but every hunter I know(10ish) that make the trek to CO for big woods hunting will not be going. Hopefully other hunters feel the same and it hits CO right in the pocketbook. Thats all the liberals understand.

For the good people of COs sake, I hope they can whether the storm and come out on the good side. Atleast Hickenlooper has to run for re-election in 2014. Im very interested to see how that election turns out for him and his Dem constituents in the state legislature. Hopefully an example will be made and all of the kicked to the curb. A re-run of the 1996 election after the AWB would be really nice.

There's going to be a conservative backlash at some point. I expect to see a new mccarthyism in my lifetime. What we really need to figure out is how to get off the crazy roller coaster where every 80 years or so we vacillate between progressives and conservatives in power trying to legislate their morals on everyone. Both sides grab more power and make it that much worse when the pendulum swings back the other way. The left certainly has a nack for making it swing a little more to their side each time, tho...

Don't give up yet. The regulations were passed in CO and Conn since this thread was started. The way their legislators eliminated citizen involvement and blocked dissenting points of view, left many opportunities to challenge these new laws in court. In the end, the laws will be struck down.

This was a prime example of government running out of control, feeding on Obama emotionalism and manipulation and being ruled by emotion instead of facts and logic.

Give it some time and support the NRA. It will be taken care of. This isn't over by any means.
