After having your ad here for 5 months and still no bites, put it in a 7 day auction on GunBroker with a starting price of $1,200 and it will pass the $1,400 mark before the auction is over. Talk to your local FFL about his shipping prices and add that price for shipping in the auction.
You must not be keeping up with GunBroker. There a few listed today. Nary a one has a bid. I am not sure what is going on with Colt products currently. I bought two 1991 Government Models and a Series 70 Government Model before Christmas 2014. All were heavily discounted. In fact the 1991s had a $100 rebate. My final cost [after rebate] was $650 for each one.
This is a very nice firearm. Wish it was a Series 70. The current production Colt 1911s are some of the best 1911s Colt has built in many decades. If this were mine, I would just hold onto to it until the market funk passes. If you need the money, send me a PM and maybe we can negotiate a sale. I have a new Rock River 1911 and two new Glock 43s on order, so if you are not interested you won't hurt my feelings.
I haven't Oldvet, and was surprised to see no bids at $1,200. Checked with a hunting buddy who has his FFL and he said Colt is shipping out Gold Cups with a MSRP of $1,250 or less and they are making a 70s Series model too.
