This piece of crap has been lying to and wasting the public's money for years.

He finally spoke the truth today, "guilty your Honor".

    Good riddance!

According to what I read in the paper (and I say that because the Chron is notoriously wrong most of the time), he got caught because his bookkeeper died and the new one actually knew how to keep financial records. The money he pilfered ended up in casinos.

I don't recall Trevino being under attack for his work in the Constable's office. If that's true, then it's too bad that his gambling got the best of him. Under any circumstances, the public has a right to expect that the police are law abiding.

No jail time for former constable Victor Trevino | abc13.com

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Former Precinct 6 Constable Victor Trevino will avoid jail time. This afternoon a judge sentenced him to 10 years probation, a $1,000 fine, 150 hours of community service and an undetermined amount of money that he will donate to charity.

The money will be donated anonymously, per the judge's instructions, so that Trevino will get no credit for it.

That's great he keeps all his benefits. How many other people keep their benefits when they get fired. Anonymous donations I wonder who's bank account that will end up in. "Thousands of dollars" going rate to stay out of jail and retire comfortably. This is our bs system

And once again it is proven that Texas has one of the most corrupt and inept judicial systems in the country (a country full off courts twisting and contorting the law).

One he resigned before he was convicted. Two he was convicted of a crime that had absolutely nothing to do with the job he resigned from. He is required to pay fines to the court to cover the costs and will be required to show that he donated money but the anonymous part is to prevent him taking credit for it. He will still need the proof that he gave the donations, it's not that kind of anonymous. Just to make everything even less clear while he accepted a plea for the 4 felonies he earlier turned down a plea deal that would have been a class C mis.

I have heard he is not an honest man, that is as much as I can say except glad to see him gone. As a felon he can't vote or touch firearms anymore, as far as I know.
