What do y’all think about Daniel Defense entering the pistol world with this “striker-fire meets 1911”?

Looking at a $1300 price point!

    Will you get one?

It's ugly and it's overpriced like almost everything DD sells. No thanks, Gucci tacticool crowd will love it though I'm sure.

I’m not really clear on how the H9 was so great to begin with…

Some things I read about it when it was the Hudson H9 seemed interesting, like the low bore axis in a gun that supposedly handles like a 1911, and there were positive reviews. QC seemed to be an issue, though.

I wonder if Daniel Defense will be making things right with the Hudson owners who sent their pistols in for repairs around the time the company folded and were left high and dry.

Daniel Defense launches it's first new handgun....and it's an old design.

I think they lost me at : Striker fired. I consider striker to be acceptable downgrade for carry use.

... and the dingus on the trigger- swap that for proper grip safety of 1911.

I like the innovation. Someone thinking outside the box. Its too bad Hudson had such poor QC. DD makes good, overpriced rifles. I hope they can turn this into a reliable gun.

Oh and I'm in for all the but muh 1911 in 45 AARP!

I have a friend that bought a Hudson when they first became available. I got to shoot it and wasn't impressed, especially for what it cost.

The Hudson might have made it but the owners saw some money come in went on a spending spree. When problems began to show up in the guns, they bailed.
