MM - how is your bottlebrush doing? Has it come back?We have a gorgeous 'bottle brush tree' that looks mighty dead to me due to the freeze, but SWMBO says hold on, it'll be fine...I doubt it, but I was wrong once before ok...twice.
Our remaining ash is now leafing out some farther out on the limbs. I thought two of the trunks were goners for sure. So I'm still waiting to see what happens. The Ash tree from the OP is showing some green sprouting, but in all the wrong places. Not a good sign.

If it did, would have to pay a deductible.Wonder if homeowner insurance will cover.
Well, the tree cost me about $40, so even if they do cover it, can't get back the 18 years it took to grow it.Wonder if homeowner insurance will cover.
If they covered it it would be at the value before the freeze not the original cost I am guessing. Everything with home insurance is what the replacement cost would be minus the deductible. Might even cover removal of the tree. All speculation as I have not called to find out. Have lost bushes, no trees. My best apple trees were lost years ago to beavers.Well, the tree cost me about $40, so even if they do cover it, can't get back the 18 years it took to grow it.
