How cheap are they running the map pricing?
This. There are various other Ruger models that I wouldn't mind having including several No. 1 chamberings no longer made.
And I wish S&W was still making their metal framed autos.
Yep. Just received my 5906 this week, and bought a 3913 and 3914. Won't receive them until next week probably.Yep I am sitting here with my 5906 next to me. Wish they would make a come back. Too many plastic fantastics out these days.
I really want a Chief's special

Good to know. Was wondering what the distributor map was for a none existent company. It looks well enough made it would be worth the gamble.Dealer price from this distributor was well under $700.00
This is why guns are great investments. Never know what something you sit on is worth
What did you discover?Wow....did a little research on the Hudson Company and the problems with the pistols, law suits ect..............I remember when they were coming out and all the distributors were calling and wanting pre orders.........I'll wait.....glad I did.....the hype on this pistol at the time was overly optimistic, I thought.......
Distributors will want to recoup what they can, but knowing the problems with pistols and the buyers getting a product already known to have issues and a company who will be defunct and zero warranty and replacement parts NLA, prices will get even lower.....
V-tach, lol. Fast forward if you wish to 5 or 6 minutes when Ian handles the first prototype
Dittos on that. Great .22 target pistols. 10X was the one the big boys shot on the .22 phase of the Metallic Sihoutte hobby. I had to settle for a crappy old Ruger which shot pretty good too. Only High Standard I can recall owning was one of their funky .22 mag derringers. Swear I could point that crazy thing straight down and not be able to hit the ground with it. It was also a flash bang. Only good thing about it was it was small. Back when Ruger Single Sixes were a rage I always lusted after a Double Nine. It just made more sense. Always too broke to buy one.The High Standard company, not any of the more recent resurrections. Classy, well built and accurate .22 pistols.
I got to shoot one of these once. It shot just like any AR but seemed heavier as I recall. The front eject was pretty cool though. Especially now that I'm a reloader. Still on my list of dream guns.I am going with the FN FS2000. Interesting take on a bullpup rifle. Being a left handed shooter (and reloader) the front ejection is very intriguing to me.
It has a very weird grip but seemed to fit the hands well. I held a few but never fired one.
They used to sell for $1600 but since FN dropped them used models start about $2200.
I didn't have enough interest to pay $1600 so they can keep them for more.
Remington nylon 66 was one of the best 22's out there .
Saw some at a gun show a few years ago and the guy wanted 300 to 500 bucks for them.
Sorry that I ever sold mine.
