Just the other day some new transplant members at the church the mother-in-law attends told her we are now going to do things the way we did in New York.

It is not just californians moving here that will have a negative effect on Texas. There are also those from oregon, colorado, illinois, washington, new york and etc.

I have a friend that said anyone from north of the Red River is a yankee.

This is pretty common everywhere. After moving here I will say this about Texas: no matter where I have gone, locals have been the nicest people I have ever run into. White, black, old, meh on some of the younger ones. Lol. But I think you folks got way more class in Texas. These lefties from west coast metro areas or yuppy towns are pretty bad people. Been there done that. You ain’t missing nothing by not being their friend.

It’s true. I might get mad at some things (how horrible drivers are in the metro areas) but overall I’m happy in Texas. I wasn’t happy in Oregon. Still good people there but it’s hard to find em these days. It’s the little things like if you’re having a bad day not taking it out on people you don’t know. I would see a lot of that in Oregon. Plus people still have manners in this state.

I also love Texas gas stations. Awesome snacks and some unique. Went to a friends service at the dfw cemetery for service members, that one you take 20 to as if going to or from 45. Station had an awesome selection of jerky! And I went to the bucees off 35 near Denton. That was overwhelming. Lol

Almost outright hostile.
Ok we get it. Leave you alone.

Stay out. It's too damn hot in TX. Hurricanes and floods tear this place up every year. Property and sales tax is way too high. We got poisonous snakes, poisonous spiders, brain eating amoebas, rabid chupacabras. This place is uninhabitable.
