If you access by ip address, 173.199.179.162, it says the site is undergoing a db upgrade.

The "flag" function doesn't do crap and the admin takes days to respond even when you email them with info showing where the scams are taken from (usually Gunbroker but a lot from Gunpost.ca lately) and IP addresses from Nigeria. It's always been a sh!tshow on Texasguntrader but lately it's gotten worse.

It really has! Not only is the site overrun with scam ads, the prices on most of the "legit sellers" stuff is clearly targeting folks that legally can't buy / own a firearm.. Who pays retail + for a used firearm that is readily available at your local Academy? answer.. someone who has a felony record.

The scammers are really their (TGT) main source of income. Recently, the site has implemented a new rule for new members, their first post cost them something like $5 (?), I'm sure that is why TGT is letting so many "slip" by... unfortunately.. the scammers have the best prices... and guess what - that draws in buyers that fall victims to the scams....

If someone was ambitious enough... Its a good time to start a similar site that requires better authentication and annual membership... just sayin..
