I realize my question is a two parter and might need to be moved but.

I have a huge box of mixed 9mm brass and some of it is military crimp. Does anyone have a dillon swagger I could borrow or a used one they'd sell me? I cant afford a new 100 dollar toy till I can get my diesel fixed and even that will be hard.

i was right up there with ya. i have tons of .223 that has crimp in it. i looked at the dillon as well but heck, for a hundred bucks i just bought 1000 cases with out the crimp for 50 bucks shipped. rcbs makes a swage die but to be honest, its a pita to work with after a while. also, there are guys out there who will fully prep your brass for about 20-30 bucks per thousand. but then youll spend another 20+ on shipping both ways, which brings you back to just buying some without the crimp.

For small lots a cutter works pretty well. They are cheap and handy to have also. They will wear out after a while though. Chuck the cutter in a drill at low speed and hold the case with pliers. Works like a champ.

You are more than welcome to come use my swager before the buyer comes.

$25 cheaper than the Dillon. You still can't afford one. Hehehe

The cutters can be found for less than $5 and will do what you need.

RCBS has a primer pocket swager combo, that does both large and small primer pockets on GI brass.

Easy to set up, easy to use on a single stage press.

Any re-loader without a single stage press is just missing out on the joy of "batch processing."

    Be well.
