its not a new problem, just an evolution of a common problem, lockpickers and pickpockets no matter the era will always exsist. One trouble with these new electronics, hackers.
I was thinking the same thing, probably a pre-2019 model.Did he have the update from awhile back performed that locked down the RF Hub?
Unknown, but it's kinda too late..
I am going to do that to my RT when I get the mods done.Wire a switch in series with the fuel pump. Make the switch easy to use, and hard to find.
I once read that one third of all Farraris get stolen at some point.
I have a HackRF One, can do the same type of stuff with it. Lots of fun. There's a lot of information flying around the air too that is ostensibly pretty benign, but could be messed with too. Electric smart meters, tire pressure sensors, smart home devices, baby monitors, cameras, you name it.Here is a little $170 device called Flipper Zero. Gizmos like that are why I still use my key to open door in parking lots, although some new cars don't even have that feature.
I remember it, seem to remember it didn't work very well either.Anybody remember the ‘80s GM vehicles with the key cylinder on the front fender? Used the same key as the door locks and it was GMs answer vehicle security. I mostly remember them on the Caddys, particularly the Eldorado & Seville. My Toronado had one, but it was next to the filler neck behind the rear license plate
There was actually armed dealership robberies of them john clay wolf was talking about. Crazy.Sadly, thefts of Hellcats is not uncommon.
Hopefully the jackasses get what's coming.
