I tried shooting a question to DPS thru their website, but when I clicked "submit" nothing happened, no confirmation, no screen change, nada. I tried multiple browsers and get the same issue. Maybe someone here can answer for them, maybe not.
My question is thus:
I can't get into DPS to have my Oregon driver license switched over to Texas until December (Dec 11th was the earliest appointment I could get anywhere within a couple hours of Magnolia) - so I was wondering if I could obtain a Texas LTC prior to that using other proof of residency, or if I could obtain a non-resident LTC then convert it to a resident LTC before then? Its going to really suck if I can't legally exercise my "right" to carry for 4+ months (probably 5-6 if I can't even apply before I get a Texas DL) - especially since Texas doesn't honor Oregon's CHL.
