Well shit, they can vote and get welfare. Why not have all the benefits and more of being a citizen without having to pay taxes?Sorta blows the left's narrative yet once again.
Next question, if he is here illegally, how did he get the rifle? Maybe the MSNBC can answer that for us.
Not necessarily FTF, but whoever sold it to him-he knows who it is. Again this is not hard. How ya gonna trace down the FTF seller?

Are you arguing you don't want to go after people illegally selling firearms? He's a liberal gun owner. He knows more than us common gun owners.
He said so. On the INTERNET, so it has to be true

I would be willing to bet that they have questioned him on where he had gotten the gun. That doesn't mean they will be able to track down any one person or place or that he will even cooperate. Are you arguing you don't want to go after people illegally selling firearms?
We have the shooter. Now go after the people that sold him the gun.
Right not disagreeing, just that the effort should be made as there is a clear opportunity to go after illegal sellers, which is what we all want.I would be willing to bet that they have questioned him on where he had gotten the gun. Eric Holder probably sold it to him at a gun show.
I'm not sure of all of the circumstances, but to me, that's a slippery slope. Are making the assumption that the seller knew it was illegal to sell to that person? Or you using the "ignorance of the law is no excuse"?
I've sold guns to people who only showed a valid TX driver's license. If one were a prohibited individual outside of my knowledge, you think the law should come after me?
Advocating universal background checks?
Right, I am not arguing that, only to the person that sold or gave him the firearm. Now they should investigate to see if that person is part of a chain making illegal sales, but otherwise I am just talking about the seller to the BG.A gun seller has no way of knowing if someone is prohibited in a FTF transfer.
And if that gun changes hands - legally FTF - many times, there's no way it's going to be traced back each step of the way.
It's easy to repeatedly say "it's not hard" but that's not going to be reality in all situations.

At the last gun show I went to I did see some gun belts, and those do fit into the loopholes. So the magic gun fairy handed it out via gun show loophole. I keep hearing about these legendary gunshows but all I end up finding is beef jerky and candles.
Not at all. In your example if the BG showed up with a TDL, ok. But if he didn't have ID and has a very nice accent and the seller still sold it, thats an issue to be investigated.
FtF you still can't sell to an illegal buyer.
