Next April the DFW area will see a total eclipse.

So, who's out watching today? It's supposed to be total for us near Bandera. We were warned we have an influx of 50,000 folks, which I find doubtful. We did meet a couple in the coffee shop yesterday from VA here to see it.

I saw a perfect annular eclipse from my position, but I'm sure a lot of local observers were disappointed by the intermittent cloud cover both before and after.

It will be interesting to learn how Utopia faired, and what locals now predict for the April eclipalypse...

We had the glasses and watched the partial eclipse where we were. It was still fun. My daughter noticed what was going on with sunlight coming through the leaves during the eclipse. This was cool.

Really? I was out and about doing things, but besides a slight tint to the afternoon light, it didn't seem like it was much.
