Hi All,
While responding to an M1917 inquiry, it rekindled interest in one of my back burner projects on hold. An Eddystone mix-master huntin' rig done back in the day.
The pictures are reflective of a by-gone era in Smithing. Where a fella could use some wood working skills, and build a gun to put meat on the table, for a fraction of store bought.
I have what's needed to restore it, but I thought I'd share what a craftsman once did.
Both stocks
Filled in sling slot and close up of the cheek piece, butt extension and recoil pad
Pistol grip
More of the cheek riser and butt extension
I painted the whole works crinkle mat black, to hide the joints and even it all out, just because. It'll go back as it should be...some time for sure. PAX
