    It is seldom and rare that I can find a place whose cooks know ho.w to fry an egg "Medium-Well."

    I like my eggs fried so all the whites are cooked through and through, the edges browned, and the yolk still half runny.

    Yep, "Medium Well."

    There's an IHOP on Loop 1604 that knows how to fry eggs.

    I've gotten proper over medium from Java cafe before. They also know how to poach them. I don't really get hung up on how my eggs are cooked, tho. Just don't screw up the steak.

    I too like my eggs over medium. Not many places get them right, but a few do and I remember those that do!

    Most places that serve eggs seem to know 3 styles:

    Scrambled
    Over Easy
    Over Hard

    I prefer my eggs over medium. It's really not difficult to do. I don't understand it.

    The time I learned to just eat 'em however they came was when I ordered scrambled and got fried. I sent 'em back. My plate came back to me 30 seconds later; she had simply taken it out of my sight and chopped up the fried eggs. There's no way the waitress had enough time to get them back to the kitchen

    "That's not scrambled. Those are the same eggs that were on the plate a minute ago."

    "That's as scrambled as you're gonna get 'em."

    It was at that point that my father taught me the value of tipping a single dime. It says "No, I didn't forget to tip. You're just a shitty server."
