I guess it all depends on what side of the fence you sit.

But honestly. It makes me proud as an American, that we can go out and cast our vote as to how WE as Americans feel our local/state/national government should be run. There are still places out there where you get shot or put away behind lock and key for trying the same thing.

So I say, God Bless America :patriot: and the great state of Texas!

The real victory in all of this is seeing Americans taking a real interest in politics and getting out to the polls, regardless of political affiliation.

I'm disappointed that Barney Frank held on to his seat. Barbara Boxer, Harry Ried are too bad but I don't think they should catch an unfortunate disease and die a slow painful death. Perfeably one that involves evacuating the bowles at random embarassing times.

I think that the next message to be sent is by telling California and New York that we will NOT bail them out.

If the Repub House votes $1 for a bailout of anything, they will be gone in 2012. The mandate is clear, get control of spending by spending less.

It looks like Solomon Ortiz lost in District 27 after his 28 years of service. Amazing to me because he is like a thorn that you just can't get rid of. So of course there may be a recount.

I think Rick Perry has done a lot for Texas, but make no mistake, TTC is being given CPR as we speak. I would hope that Texas will have better choices in 2016.

+1 on what Vance said. This election showed that Americans, as a whole, are still engaged in the process, and that our right to vote is the best protection we have. Even in Illinois voter fraud did not rule the day. Biggest disappointment: Reid still in charge of the senate. He's poison. A nasty, lying, cheating stinker. And those are his good points.
