So much for the great mood, just hydroplaned into the ditch at 65.

Lmao! Scary during the ride. I THINK it was 1 spin on the road and 1 in the ditch, honestly not sure.. Ass end is about a foot from the barbed wire fence and tree line but I didn't hit anything. Well, not hard anyway ;)

When I do want DPS, where are they? LoL

Back on pavement, pretty good dent right side behind rear wheel. All in all coulda been a LOT worse. Sphincter worked flawlessly. ;)

Damn, spin out at 65?? Fastest I've done is about 40. It's not the fall but the recovery!

I've got 65 beat, in my car, 6 yrs. ago, but no damage, ended up in water up to bottom of door sills.
DPS showed up quick, he was told somebody flipped, guess it must have looked spectacular, lol.
Had to be pulled out by a wrecker, then continued my trip to Kingsville.

Them WIDE tires are like rafts.....

Which proved to be @ 10mph above the safe limit. LoL

You can't tell from camera angle but it's a 15' - 20' vertical drop from road surface to rear wheels. Just shy of 230K miles and the 1st real body damage. It could have ended much worse but I am bummed.

From the photos, you put what my Dad would have called an "e tai" (part of a Japanese phrase referencing being caused pain) on your truck. My only experience with spin-outs happened decades ago (the 70s) driving my 65 VW down the freeway. Did a 180, realized I was going down the freeway backwards at 65 so I yanked the steering wheel, did another 180 and ended up in the center median. No sphincter problems there, either, but somehow jammed my left foot under the seat. Good thing I was in my 20s then. If that happened now, I'd probably end up having a massive myocardial infarction.

The roads can get very slick.

I broke the rear duals loose a while back with the company truck hauling a gooseneck with just a little moisture on the road. Just enough of a slide to make me sit up and pay attention though. Didn't even leave my lane.

I would like a pic of it getting pulled out and possibly a shot of the citation for exceeding the safe speed though. You know, for my scrapbook.
